Wednesday, June 3, 2026-Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan arrived in Indonesia for high-level talks aimed at strengthening economic cooperation, expanding trade, and deepening defence partnerships between the two nations.
The visit reflects growing momentum in relations between Türkiye and Southeast Asia's largest economy as both countries seek new opportunities for investment, technology transfer, and strategic collaboration in an increasingly competitive global market.
During the visit, officials are expected to discuss ways to increase bilateral trade, encourage private-sector investment, and enhance cooperation in key industries including defence manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, and digital innovation.
Türkiye and Indonesia have already expanded collaboration in recent years, particularly in defence technology, and both governments are looking to build on that foundation through new agreements and long-term partnerships.
