Friday, June 3, 2026- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on the G7 nations and the United States to take stronger action to halt ongoing Russian air and missile strikes across Ukraine.
In recent statements, Zelensky warned that continued attacks on civilian infrastructure are escalating the humanitarian toll and further destabilizing key regions already under severe strain from prolonged conflict.
The appeal comes as Ukrainian cities continue to face regular waves of drone and missile strikes targeting energy facilities, transport networks, and residential areas.
Ukrainian officials say the attacks are designed to weaken civilian morale and disrupt essential services, particularly electricity and heating infrastructure. Emergency response teams remain active nationwide as repairs and recovery efforts struggle to keep pace with repeated damage.
Zelensky’s message to Western allies emphasizes the need for faster military assistance, stronger air defense systems, and tighter economic pressure on Russia. He argues that coordinated international action remains essential to limiting the impact of strikes and protecting civilians.
As diplomatic discussions continue among G7 members, Ukraine is pushing for more decisive commitments to strengthen its defensive capabilities in the months ahead.
